Elisabeth Böhm van Endert was a German soprano who studied with Wally Schauseil in Düsseldorf, Richard Müller in Dresden and Adelina Paschalis-Souvestre, having begun as a concert and oratorio singer before the conductor Ernst von Schuch encouraged her toward the stage. She made her operatic debut at the Dresden Court Opera in 1907 as Marguerite in Faust, and created the Trainbearer in the premiere of Strauss's Elektra in 1909. She moved to the Berlin Court Opera in 1910 and the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 1913, was named a royal chamber singer that year, and toured England, the Low Countries, Switzerland and North America in the 1920s before turning to concert work and voice teaching.
