An Italian bass who took part in a series of premieres around the turn of the century. He created Menico in Smareglia's Nozze istriane in 1895 and sang Schaunard when La Scala first staged La bohème two years later. In 1900 he created Angelotti in Tosca, and in 1901 Pantalone in Mascagni's Le maschere. He also appeared in an Italian film, La reginetta delle rose, in 1915.
