Giovanni Landi
Giovanni Landi was an Italian tenor who sang Alfredo in the revival of La traviata at the Teatro Gallo a San Benedetto in Venice on 6 May 1854, as the company's leading tenor that spring, when he also sang Jacopo in I due Foscari. He had made his debut at Vercelli in 1843, and had been passed over for the premiere at La Fenice the year before as too baritonal.
