Alfonso Mariani
Alfonso Mariani was an Italian bass working the northern Italian houses in the 1880s. In the spring season of 1886 he was at the Teatro Reinach in Parma, singing Giorgio in I puritani and Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, and that December he created Philippe II in the Modena Don Carlos, the five-act revision Verdi made for that house.
